Info
Edit
Very popular Canadian folk musician formerly of Buffalo Springfield who also collaborated with Crosby, Stills, and Nash. His popularity began in the sixties with such hits as Cinnamon Girl and lasted into the seventies before declining in the eighties. His song Southern Man was referenced in the Lynyrd Skynyrd song Sweet Home Alabama, which also referenced his song Alabama. His song The Needle and the Damage Done is about drug abuse. The songs Into the Black and Out of the Blue are actually subtitles of the same song. The former is the electric version while the latter is the acoustic version. When inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, his backing group Crazy Horse was not. He is the only artist inducted into the Hall of Fame twice in the same year.
