Eric Clapton is a popular blues guitarist formerly of The Yardbirds, Cream, Derek and the Dominos, and Blind Faith. Only musician to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times. The 1992 acoustic version of Layla is one of his most popular songs. Lay Down Sally is actually about his dog. Tears in Heaven was written after his young child was killed after he fell out of a window, although he eventually stopped performing it because he had gotten over the loss. He caused controversy by commenting that there are too many Pakistanis in England. His After Midnight was originally performed by blues musician J.J. Cale. Dominos songs Bell Bottom Blues and Layla were dedicated to Patty Boyd, with whom Clapton was in love at the time.
